A Not-so-great Month

So, it's almost been a month since my last update to the website, and it's not been from a lack of dedication (at least, not too much). To be honest, I haven't been doing the best between juggling school, work, friends, and my personal projects, so a hiatus like this isn't too unexpected. That being said, I do want to begin posting more and actually utilizing this site, as I think it would not only make the site better but also help alleviate some of the stress and lack of motivation that I've been feeling.

With all that being said, if I'm actually going to be posting and adding to the site, what sort of stuff am I going to be adding? Well, the main thing I want to start posting is game reviews. I was working on one a while back (about a week after I published the site) but it ended up not being something I wanted to post. Now though, I have an idea of what games would be good to post playthroughs of and how it will translate to an engaging blog post, so expect the first review sometime this weekend.

As for what game I'll be playing, I haven't decided yet. I'd like to play a game that will allow me to tell a cohesive story with unique characters, so games like Rimworld and Dwarf Fortress come to mind, but I also need a game that will be easy to follow through text and screenshots. That being said, here are some games that I think I'll be playing soon:

I think RPGs, roguelikes, and colony sims will translate well into a blog format, but it's my first time doing something like this so if you think another genre of game will work, please write me an email. Also, some games that I will be playing but won't get their own blog posts are: Celeste, Hollow Knight, Final Fantasy, Dark Souls, Lost in Vivo, and Lunacid. If you have any recommendations for games that you want to see me play, email me at ava@1ost.dev.

By the way, I have some new features that I will be adding to the website this month. I'll be adding an RPG ( which I was working on this month, but I messed it up and have to rewrite all the scripts), comments on blog posts, an Atom feed, a guestbook, and some other stuff that I haven't thought of yet.
